Core Muscle Anatomy

This course is the foundation of this certification. It is PREREQ for Comprehensive Mat & Basic Training equipment certification. Option to test out with a passing grade of 90%.

FORMAT: Two weekends, Sat/Sun:
6 Hours each day
Total Hours: 24 hours

Live Core Muscle Anatomy:
• Tuition: $550 ( includes the CMA manual and the Trail Guide to the Body. Deposit of $175


Comprehensive Mat

PREREQ: Core Muscle Anatomy or passing grade on anatomy entrance exam of 90%.

Format: Two weekends, Sat/Sun, 8 hours each day of student lecture.

10 Hours of Supervised and Unsupervised Teaching, 10 hours of self-practice, 5 hours of assistance teaching, 10 mat classes taken online or in-person,
plus a written final exam.
Total Hours: 67 hours

Live Comprehensive Mat:
• Tuition: $1328.00 (this includes Kane Core Principles
3-DVD online series and all independent study hours)
Deposit of $275
This includes all Required Text and Student Class card: The Comprehensive Mat Manual ($99), required 10 group mat classes ($180 for a 10 class card),
1 private session with Wendee for 80.00. Plus you will need to purchase on your own a $25 monthly pass to kinencted virtual classes for your self practice and additional resources.

Basic Training I and II
(All Pilates Equipment)

PREREQ: Core Muscle Anatomy and Comprehensive Mat
FORMAT: See Schedule

PHASE I
Basic Choreography: 12 hours
Intermediate Choreography: 12 hours
Advanced Choreography: 12 hours

PHASE II
Each weekend of this phase hones in on either a specific body region or a special population (as outlined below) and includes: anatomy review and biomechanics; palpation techniques; hands-on and equipment assessments of the client; hands-on and equipment-based releases; pathologies; treatment and surgeries; and programming and contraindications. Throughout Phase 2, students hone their manual and visual perception skills, refining the ability to see the body with their hands and correct dysfunctional movement patterns.

Module 1: Teaching & Touch Primer, The Healthy Client,
Lumbo-Pelvic Region - 12 hours
Module 2: Head, Neck & Ribs; Shoulder; Elbow, Wrist, &
Hand - 10 hours
Module 3: Hip, Knee - 10 hours
Module 4: Ankle & Foot, Clients Over 60 - 10 hours

Live Basic Training
Tuition: $6035.00
– Includes all lectures, meetings with the program directors, supervised teaching hours, Student Lecture Series sessions, independent study hours.
– Includes Phase I & II manuals, Workbook, 10 equipment classes ($230 for a 10 class card), 10 private sessions ($750.00) with Wendee and the exam fee. INQUIRE about a payment plan.

Additional Hours required to complete certification:
85 hours of Student Teaching, supervised and unsupervised, 20 Hours of Observation, 85 hours of Self Practice (includes 10 group classes already purchased), Assistant Teaching Hours Optional, Apprentice Teaching Hours, and Test Out. Written and Practical Exam needs a grade of 85% of higher.
Total Hours: 370 hours


BRIDGE PROGRAM
Already certified in Pilates but want a Kane School education? The Bridge Program offers teachers an abbreviated track to enhance their current training with a Kane School Certification in both mat and equipment. Total hours: 99 hours (Weekend)
